After graduation, Darleen worked with a firm in Las Vegas that specialized in immigration and criminal law for three years. The firm focused on analyzing the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. She gained invaluable experience in Immigration Court. She represented clients in removal proceedings defending forms of relief varying from Asylum to Cancellation of Removal. She has written briefs to the Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She attended numerous interviews with clients at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and has represented clients in criminal proceedings in the Eighth District Court, and in the Justice and Municipal Courts in Clark County.
